A DRIVE FOR POTABLE WATER SUPPLY

Water is an essential resource for life. If people do not have access to water, they will surely go to where there is supply in order to survive. Many people are displaced from their homes in Bafut and most of them are residing in the forest and bushes where they face water quality and quantity issues. An internally displaced person (IDP) is someone who is forced to flee their home but who, unlike a refugee, remains within their country’s borders. These people are internally displaced as a result of or in order to avoid the effects of armed conflict and situations of generalized violence. UBA-MARYLAND intends to mitigate the effect of water quantity and quality for the IDPs. This will encourage good hygiene practices and prevent the spread of diseases within the various settlements.
